Labuan BN confident of scoring majority votes

Labuan: The island’s Barisan Nasional (BN) division is confident the party will be able to recapture the majority seats at the Kerupang Polling District Centre here, for the 14th General Election (GE14).
Labuan BN Chairman Datuk Rozman Isli said although in the last election BN lost at the polling district, he is confident with the BN machinery this time around and it is not impossible that they will conquer the ballot boxes at the polling district.
Rozman, who is a prospective candidate for the Labuan parliamentary seat, spoke at the “Santai Abang Man” programme here.
Rozman is optimistic that many more developments will be brought to the Labuan Parliament if the community here continues to mandate the Barisan Nasional party which promises to continue driving this country as well as Labuan in the future.
“I hope the citizens of Labuan will be out in droves to vote in the coming election this time giving BN a bigger majority for the Labuan parliamentary seat,” said Rozman, who is also the Labuan Umno division chief.
Kerupang polling district chief Sukimin Wakimin urged voters to give their support to Rozman, who is fondly known as “Abang Man”, here, as a prospective parliamentary candidate for Labuan’s seat this year.
“It’s undeniable that Rozman has carried out his duties as Labuan’s Member of Parliament who is well-versed with the people and often goes down to the field to look into the problems of the people here regardless of race and religion,” said Sukimin.
Rozman is therefore the best candidate for BN to continue bringing development to the island as and elected representative to ensure Labuan’s progress continues to be driven, he added.
Also present were Labuan PBS chief Datuk Peter Mak, Labuan Upko chief Datuk Ronald James, Labuan Umno Wanita chief Datuk Hajah Aini Safar, Labuan Umno division deputy chief Datuk Khalid Ghani and senior leaders of Labuan BN component parties. – Iffah Dilaney
